I must say that I wasn't suprised when I checked the reviews for the Garden City Hospital Emergency Room in Westland and the first review was negative. If I could give zero stars, I would have. Worst experience ever!!!!! The staff is EXTREMELY RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Where do a I begin....i arrived at approximately 6 am. By 7 am, they had already taken urine, blood and ran test and given me a bill of health. I could sense they were rushing to push out because it was shift change. Let's begin, the first nurse, was using the wrong blood pressure cup and it was only caught when a much older nurse/tech saw it and removed it. With the wrong bp cup my blood pressure was registering 198/104 (i am not a medical professional but i know that is dangerously high). But remember in a span of less than an hour, i was given a bill of health, NEVER ONCE DISCUSSING THE HIGH BP. They processed to put in a needle in my arm to draw blood. The also put on other gadgets and removed them. But here is where it got bad, they connected me to a heart machine. They returned running and told me that I could remove the sticky things and disconnect myself from the machine and was free to go. Yes, a

The treatment of patients needing pain relief is unbelievable! I wouldnt take my dog here. Inexperienced doctors who show zero compassion to people truly needing help. Even the security are mean and show no compassion. This facility needs to do schooling on how to treat ALL people with dignity and TLC. This place will shut down if serious changes are not made. Doctors are at the bottom of the barrel and need to adapt skills from the older doctors and not just be there for the money. Horrible awful place!! .

I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital. The nurses did not provide the help or attention I needed. I felt ignored and not cared for during my visit. Patients come to the hospital expecting support, kindness, and proper care, but unfortunately, I did not receive that. I hope the hospital improves the way patients are treated and provides better training for the staff to ensure patients feel respected and cared for.

I hate to write this but this has to be the best kept secret of the area. I had possibly the best care Iβve had in my life. I had Jennifer (RN) and Shannon (Tech) and they were talented, compassionate, gentle, and supportive in every way. I am blown away by Dr. Sierra Burdans skill and compassion. I will be coming here for EVERY emergency if they have a staff like this. Even the front desk person and ultrasound tech were incredible (I am remiss for not grabbing their names but I was there the night of 6/27/26 so hopefully corporate can figure it out). Seriously this place is the best Iβve ever been for emergency care. EVER.

What started out as a simple wrist stitch up was going to take hours. But Dr Kevin Tishkowski and his pleasant staff went out of their way to help my diabetic husband taken care of. I will recommend them to everyone
